Our New Home...2227

We've moved up, way up. Liza's new private room is quite nice. It has a great view of the downtown skyline (although she doesn't care), plenty of room, and something for me to sleep on. It's twice as big as the ICU room and half as cold. Liza was a total trooper on the move up. She did it in a wheelchair! She's resting now and we're trying to get acquainted with the new staff and get everybody on the same page as far as meds are concerned. Lillian, a pleasant Jamaican woman, is our nurse for the moment. Liza's spirits also seem to be up. She's talking more and more and has smiled quite a few times today. I think she knows that home and normality is getting closer and closer. Although she is still in considerable pain, I think she's doing amazingly well.

Private rooms rock! Enjoy it and order tons of food, believe me, you're paying for it!! Hopefully, tonight is a better night. Wishing you the best.

We're going to Holy Hip Hop tonight. While you're watching Jerry Springer and eating gourmet food (ha) your friends are sweatin' to the oldies and missing you.

Saw Jenna at the studio. Your friends sure do love you! We love you, too. And good news about the puking! Sometimes that's all it takes to make everything better.

Love to you all.

We are praying for total relief from pain and plenty of rest. I (christie) am also praying for your nursing staff to have watchful eyes, gentle (and kindred) spirits and listening ears so that they may help you with the pain management. Peace be with you tonight.
Love,
Christie and Nathan

You are so lucky...I always wanted a Jamaican nurse.

The staff and I read the updates at our meeting today. We're praying for you and thrilled you've got your own room.

We love you guys. Thanks for the updates. Much love from College station.

Peace,
The Breakaway Family

So blessed to see you two today. Liza, you looked beautiful!!! My mom helped me with that poster this morning and we were so blessed to think of what might encourage you during all this. I'm so glad you got your own room. And Scot and you will have more room to have Jamacian parties until the early morning! Praying your night goes extremely different and trips out of bed don't cause major head and heart aches!
Scot, thanks for keeping us informed. You are doing awesome. Walking in today I felt I had somewhat of an idea of what was going on. But you need to keep telling everyone how gorgeous your bride is...even after brain surgery...she still shines. Love seeing your smiles...even in your pain!

It's good morning from us Liza. A lovely summer day over here and planning a full family gathering for next weekend. I wish you could be here with us. Your world has probably shrunk to your hospital room and that is okay, it's necessary at the moment. BUT outside that room is a might gathering of angels, brought together by the prayers of people who love you. Even in pain you can feel peace. Much love from Janine and Coppelia.

Liza and Scot,

Thank you for sharing so much of your lives with all of us right now. I have been praying for you often through this time, checking the blog (very) frequently for updates. It's a blessing to all of us to be able to read, pray, and be a part (even if only a small one) of what God is doing in your lives right now. Thank you for being so real, for then we get to see how real God is, as well.

I hope you both get some better rest tonight. Praise God that you have a private room! I'm also praying for good nurses at shift change -- good nurses make such a difference.

Love you guys . . .

Praying, praying, praying,
Michelle (and Greg)

Liza,
My heart has ached for you since tuesday morning. I can not imagine how to face such a tremendous battle with the courage you have shown. I know that God gives us grace sufficient for each day, and each day only. You are being changed more into his likeness through this, although, you will not be aware of it until after it has passed.
You have been a faithful friend to me. I adore you now more than ever. I am confident that you will dance again, on a stage that shouts victory over darkness, courage in the face of unsurmountable fear, and praise to the king if kings who graces you with his love even now. It has truly been an honor to serve with you for years. You are an annointed vessel that exclaims divine praises through movement. Please believe that that has not changed... only increased. The kingdom of darkness will truly cringe as you take your place again.

I love you.

Just looking at some of the comments on here shows how you have blessed so many people and how loved you are by all! You continue to bless us hearing of your sweet and smiling spirit Liza, even in the midst of pain and discomfort. I am so humbled by your example. I know that everyone at the hospital has been touched by your sweet, Christ-like spirt as well. Keep the faith as you continue to bless the socks off of us. ;) We love you and continue to lift you up along with the many others!
