Good Night

I think it is shaping up to be a good night for the both of us. Liza is sleeping next to me and her pain level is low (4 on a scale of 10). She's scheduled for more meds in about an hour. She's been up quite a bit tonight, going to the bathroom regularly. She even watched Grey's Anatomy with me.

We had some awesome visitors today that were gracious enough to come by, even if only for a few seconds. Since Liza still doesn't like talking much or moving much, it makes being a hostess (something she loves dearly) rather difficult. So thank you for being understanding.

At this rate, I hope to see her progress rather quickly tomorrow and maybe get home to our babies rather soon. But again, we're not going to go until Liza's ready to go. We will not rush out of here. But, I'm getting to far ahead of myself. It's been a good day - a painful and difficult day - but a good one. Thank you for praying us through it. You are a blessing to us.

Praise the Lord that Liza is recovering smoothly. Prayers have been lifted up and heard. Liza's journey has been encouraging to me as I have been waiting for a year for the decompression surgery. I will continue to lift her up in my prayers. ~ Lacie

Dear Liza and Scot,

I don't know you but little girl attends Excelsior, and so I've read your story by email and on the bulletin board. I saw you guys at the studio the other day and caught the blog address as I went out the door. Your story really touched me and I am praying for you and your full recovery. May the suffering you endure in Christ bring much glory to his name and many fruits for your beautiful little family!

God bless you!

This hymn keeps coming to me as I read your blog name:

For the beauty of the earth,
for the beauty of the skies,
for the love which from our birth
over and around us lies,
Refrain:
Christ our God, to thee we raise
this our sacrifice of praise.

For the beauty of each hour
of the day and of the night,
hill and vale, and tree and flower,
sun and moon, and stars of light, Refrain

For the joy of ear and eye,
for the heart and brain's delight,
for the mystic harmony
linking sense to sound and sight, Refrain

For the joy of human love,
brother, sister, parent, child,
friends on earth, and friends above,
for all gentle thoughts and mild, Refrain
For each perfect gift of thine
to our race so freely given,
graces human and divine,
flowers of earth and buds of heaven, Refrain

For thy Bride that evermore
lifteth holy hands above,
offering up on every shore
this pure sacrifice of love, Refrain

For the martyrs' crown of light,
for thy prophets' eagle eye,
for thy bold confessors' might,
for the lips of infancy, Refrain

For thy virgins' robes of snow,
for thy maiden Mother mild,
for thyself, with hearts aglow,
Jesus,Victim undefiled, Refrain

So glad to hear that the surgery went well and that you are well on your way down the recovery road.

Hope you both have a wonderful (and restful) weekend.

Dear Scot and Liza,
Praise God for His answers to all our prayers! May you continue to feel the presence of Jehovah Shammah as you quickly recover and heal. Liza, we are all so encouraged to hear the wonderful reports of your healing and are proud of your incredible strength and patience! May you find rest and relief from the pain.
"May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble! May the name of the God of Jacob set you securely on high! May He send you help [and pain relief] from the sanctuary and support you from Zion! May He grant you your heart's desire and fulfill all your cousel. We will sing for joy over your victory [in surgery and recovery], and in the name of our God we will set up our banners. May the Lord fulfill all your petitions. Now I know that the Lord saves the anointed; He will answer him from His holy heaven with the saving strength of His right hand. Some boast in chariots and horses, but we will boast in the name of the Lord, our God..."
-Psalm 20

Much Love,
Faith

Hi liza,
Good to hear of your progress. It may be slow but you have been amazingly strong. "Rome wasn't built in a week" or whatever that quote is......anyway I have full confidence that you will continue to improve and will soon see your babies. I gotta tell you I am such a wimp when it comes to pain so imagination can't even come close to what you are enduring. One of my favorite scriptures is Phil 4:13...I can do all things through Christ who strenghtens me......yep that is YOU sweetheart that this very moment even if you don't feel that way. you just hang in there(the cross)and He will see you through. I love you and look so forward to seeing you soon.

So glad things are getting better. A 4 really!!! We are praying for Izzy and Andrew too. praying for you...and a good day. Isn't it stinky the selection of channels you get to watch? One can only watch so much HGTV.
LOVE YOU, Kate
